Prayer: Be Encouraged. Not Discouraged.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come to You today, with an aching heart, asking for protection from this pandemic of the Corona Virus. Lord, we are restless and uneased by the uncertainty of what we are experiencing right now in the world. Lord, we know You will not leave us nor forsake us or leave us vulnerable to this unseen enemy. Lord, please surround us with Your divine hedge of protection. Encompass us with Your strength and Your mighty arms of compassion. Lord, place us in refuge as You allow Your Will to be done on Earth.

Lord, we ask that You protect our minds by helping us to keep our minds and thoughts focused on You and not the circumstance which we are experiencing right now. Lord, as Your Word states “Let us not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds that we may prove what Your will is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect” (Romans 12:2). “Help us by the power of Your Spirit to think on whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything is worthy of praise, let our minds dwell on these things” (Philippians 4:8) and not dwell on what is out of our control. Lord we trust you. Amen.
